Mac OS X - Fundamentals (OS101) or Windows Operating System course or equivalent experience. A background in editing, production, or post-production is also suggested.
Moviola’s Comprehensive Introduction to Avid Media Composer / Avid Xpress Pro / Avid Symphony Editing course is designed for both the novice (no familiarity with the Avid system is necessary) as well as those who have some experience using the Avid Media Composer, Avid Xpress Pro or Avid Symphony system.
Though this is an introductory course, it provides the essential foundation of concepts, tools and procedures of the system on both the Macintosh and Windows platforms.
At Moviola Digital, Avid class sizes are limited to eight to ten students, and each workstation is limited to just two students to ensure a positive learning experience.
Class time is divided between demonstrations by the instructor followed by hands-on practice exercises, with ample time for experimentation using both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) footage.
