PAL

Overview

PAL stands for Phase Alternating Line, and refers to the analog television system used in most of Europe, Australia, South America, Africa and Southern Asia. PAL consists of video displayed at 25 interlaced frames per second and has a total of 625 scan lines. These give the video a higher resolution compared to NTSC, but a more irregular movement.
