Bill Davis
Bill started his career in radio as an on-air announcer. Over time, he migrated into writing and doing voiceover work for local television in his native Phoenix. He has personally produced, written, shot and edited more than 400 corporate videos ranging from broadcast commercials to long-form corporate training programs for companies such as PetSmart, Leslie's Pool Supplies and BMW/Oracle. An early adopter of Final Cut Pro in 1999 he spent a decade writing and lecturing on video production topics as a Contributing Editor at a national video magazine. He transitioned his editing practice from FCP Legacy to FCP-X days after it's introduction, and today can't imagine going back to editing without an integrated database.

Michael Horton
Michael Horton is the founder and Head of the Los Angeles Creative Pro User Group (formerly LAFCPUG) which presently has over 6000 members world wide and is growing by about 75 members per month. LACPUG meets every fourth Wednesday at the Gallery Theatre in Hollywood, CA.
Michael also co-produces the famous “SuperMeets” which are held throughout the world in cities such as San Francisco, Las Vegas, London, Amsterdam, Boston and others. In addition Michael is the co-host of the Digital Production Buzz Podcast with Larry Jordan, a role he has played for over 10 years.

Strategies and tactics for creating useful and meaningful keywords and tags to ID clips, ranges and files in a modern NLE. Final Cut Pro guru Bill Davis will cover general search and sort issues and how smart tagging can help any editor drive efficiency and success. He will focus specifically on how the tools in Apple's Final Cut Pro X software uses both reductive and additive search strategies to make creating keyword collections that work efficiently. But most of the webinar applies to any application that allows searching and sorting by user generated keywords or tags.
