An elastic cord band is threaded through the base of the hat and can be tightened to fit a smaller head or removed for full stretch of the yarn hat, with plenty of room to hold hair inside of hat. Moana's headband is made from green-colored Felt leaves and pink foam flowers and is attached to the wig hair. The back of the hair is approx. 24 inches long from the back of the neck.
I hand sew the braid onto the hat and use hot glue to attach the flowers and leave decorations, so the hat remains soft inside for tender skin such as chemo patients etc.
