This is a beautiful jacquard-woven Metrix tapestry (26''x46'') of a 1900 verdure designed by Edward Burne Jones and woven by Morris & Co., it is one of the six panels illustrating the story of the Holy Grail; representing the arms of the Knights of the Round Table: Sir Gawaine, Lancelot, Hector, Perceval, Bors, and Galahad. The original is in the Birmingham museum. It is Belgian-made and comes with a certificate of authenticity on the back, as seen in the photos. It is in excellent preowned condition, now stored wrapped in plastic in a climate-controlled environment. No rod or black tassels, as in example photo.
I do recycle/reuse shipping materials, give discounts within reason (1/2 off isn't), and can bundle discounts if asked. In preparation for an international move, we are selling many items from both our collections and treasures we have found along the way.#1121
