Got this on a trip to the region that this was handmade by the local women. A one of a kind timeless piece.

Huichol beaded neckless multi colored floral design. The focal flower is 3D, beaded in black, orange and yellow. It is approximately 3 1/2 in diameter and has 1 1/2 in bead fringe. The flower design going up from the center is flat and are leaves. The rest of the strap is 1/4 wide. This piece has no closure - to is an over your head necklace.
The Huichol people live in the mountains of Mexico near Nayarit. These people are gifted artisans who make their living by selling their handmade items. They make beaded jewelry, beaded sculptural objets and woven bags using cross stitch and back strap looms. Perhaps they are best known for the yarn paintings depicting images seen by shamans.
