This pair of wooden carved statues were obtained, I'm sure, from my parents' travels.
I suspect they purchased them while visiting Hawaii ? Aruba ? Mexico ? Very chunky, substantial, and nicely carved, and tall, at 20 high. Around 7 inches at widest point.. The man figure is in near-perfect condition- the flaw I see is a bit of faint white smudge on his knee. The woman figure, unfortunately, has more flaws-- white smudges /scratches on her cheek, nose ,chin & arm. I did not make any attempt to cover or remove the white color... My guess is that its white paint from the stairs landing of my parents' home, that rubbed off. I am guessing it may be removed or camouflaged rather easily, but... not sure. Beautiful, either way ! From a nonsmoking environment.
