A Bit of History:
The Cambridge Glass Company, established in 1873 in Cambridge, Ohio, became a renowned manufacturer of colored glassware, particularly in the 1920s and 30s. The company initially produced opaque colored glass, eventually transitioning to transparent shades by the end of the 1920s. After a brief closure & reopening in 1954 & 1955, respectively, due to financial difficulties, the factory permanently closed in 1958.
The Cambridge Glass Company introduced its Rose Point pattern in 1935, & it quickly became a highly popular & successful line according to the National Cambridge Collectors. The design was inspired by a French lace pattern, & it was also silverware by Wallace Silver & china by Pope-Gosser according to the National Cambridge Collectors
