Mila Schon is one of the most respected names in Italian fashion, renowned for its sophisticated style and precise tailoring. Born in 1916 in Dalmatia, Yugoslavia, Mila Schon moved to Italy during her childhood. In 1958, she opened a small atelier in Milan and launched her namesake brand Mila Schon the following year. In 1965, she held her first collection in Florence, which quickly drew attention from around the world. The success was attributed to the Italian twist she put on Parisian trends and methods, instead of simply replicating them. She has also created uniforms related to Italy, providing outfits for Alitalia and the Italian team for the Barcelona Olympics. Mila Schon expanded to Japan in 1983, and her men's wear is handled by the Kobold Workshop known as Trenza.
