A rare, antique French book from 1875.
Very pretty & collectible example of 19th century ornate decorative paper binding from France.
A gilded cartonnage book that's still bound solid.
Colors on the decorative cover, front & back, are still bright and colorful - gold gilt and sky blue.
Cover art is just gorgeous!
The center front has a window cutout with a color lithograph print inset of two boys carrying baskets, talking & walking outside.
The spine and corners show some wear.
It may or nay not be missing part of the spine at the top & bottom, I don't see any rips or tears, so it may have been made that way.
Interior pages are in very good condition.
Very clean book.
Has 1 engraving.
