I've never sent this ball off to an authenticators - never felt the need to. I had it wrapped in the container with aluminum foil stuck in a drawer forever. I've checked that signature many times. It's an older piece and not crispy white like newer pieces. More of a cream color now. I bought it from a reliable source - from the original owner of the ball. The signature is right. The date is faint but there - it says 1977. I purchased it for my grandson who's grown and is a tek guy now. Just looking for a new home with someone who appreciates Hank Aaron - an overlooked player with a great history. Will ship fully insured with the display stand.
