Every winter, Caran d'Ache Maison de Haute Écriture presents a seasonal limited edition product called the Eclat Collection.
In 2007, the theme was Nuit d'Hiver (Winter Night Sky), inspired by the mesmerizing night sky depicted with Swarovski crystals, illuminating the crisp winter air with sparkle and magic. The moon shines upon the night sky, reflecting the light from the sun, which in turn enhances the brilliance of stars in the clear evening sky, even capturing the dust of stars.
The beautiful engraving on the body represents the surface of the moon and the center of the crescent moon using black crystal stones, while the opposite side of the crescent is made with transparent clear crystal stones. Additionally, the starry dust and clusters of new stars surrounding the moon are also depicted with clear crystals.
This Eclat features 62 Swarovski crystal stones and marks Caran d'Ache's first attempt at platinum coating over silver plating. To protect the crystals, a velvet pouch is included.
