Vintage piece of medical history
The case has scratches and wood has signs of wear.
The contents appear to be complete. And I’m incredible condition for this very old and extremely rare Cambridge Portable EKG Machine.
One of the first built and an excellent medical collectable.
Every aspect of this is original, including the paper still situated in the read-out device.
The early models like this one frequently bear a plaque with the physician for whom it was specifically made.
I purchased this several years ago from a medical device collector in Southampton New York.
It has been kept in a humidity and temperature controlled facility.
The only other one I’ve seen this old with the original plaque was in a medical museum in Philadelphia.
