Rare and wonderful pair of Art Deco era porcelain figurines by Moriyama of Japan.
This set of semi nude maidens in mirror image is very rare. Cobalt blue skirt and gold detail on the flowers, skirt and base. Base in light blue.
The nude body and hair is in a matte glaze and the makeup is beautiful on the face. 
One small chip on the dish that the figure is holding__((see photo ))
They measure approximately 11” tall.
They are carrying bowls with a lotus type flower
which lends to the popular theme in this period. Circa 1930s__They are exquisitely detailed.
