Keane was famous for the paintings portraying mostly of young people with soulful 'Big Eyes'. It was later discovered that he was not the artistic talent, but that his wife, Margaret, was the painter of the 'Big-Eye' portraits. She would later adapt the style from children to various animals and adults. Ironically the book is dedicated to the women behind a successful man.
Their story has been made into the Tim Burton movie Big Eyes. Please inspect all photos for condition. Message me with any questions.
