This is a fabulous vintage 1950s Peruvian alpaca wool cape jacket in one size.
Item is made of soft tan-colored wool and heavily embroidered with black embroidery.
Front features alpaca motif with appliquéd blankets on their backs. Buttons are black wool knit.
On either side there is a slit opening with a single fabric button. Approximate dimensions are up to 56 inches at chest, up to 78” at hips, 30 inches in length, 17 inches shoulder to-shoulder.
Item has some moth damage, a little bit at body of item, but because of the long pile it doesn’t really show. Where there is more damage is on the collar, both inner and outer. If you have shoulder length or longer hair, this won’t show when worn, otherwise it would need to be repaired. Also, one of the alpacas’ blankets is coming loose at the underside and needs a few reinforcement stitches to close it again. Item sold in as-is condition and final sale for this reason.
