Really believe this wa a shaving mug though it does not have 2 sides. It has the loop handle like every single piece of research showed. The mug shown is likely an antique piece from the late 1800s produced by Brothers Schwalb Merklin (BSM) in Bohemia, Czechoslovakia. It is marked with BSM on the bottom. The mug features hand-painted floral designs in pink, blue, yellow, and gold all against a pale yellow/beige background. BSM Maker’s Mark.

“Becher is the German word for mug or beaker. Stark-Merklin refers to the company Stark & Merklin, an Austrian ceramics manufacturer active from 1891 to 1938 in Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia (now Trnovany, Czech Republic). Based on the image and the provided information, the item is likely an antique mug produced by Stark & Merklin in Austria, dating back to the late 19th or early 20th century
