A VINTAGE Original intact 1979-80 Topps #3 NHL Record Breaker of Wayne Gretzky. I met him in 1994 when I worked at the Inter Continental hotel in Downtown Miami Florida. It never occurred to me to get his autograph. I didn’t see him as the great one, just a hotel customer when he would ask me if I could assist him in getting his door open or when he would ask me to call for a taxi or limo when he was leaving. Always felt a little anxiety in his voice. It must have been because he was in the public eye for so long. I was young and was never really into hockey like everyone when they would approach him. It was funny to see how everyone would act around him when they would see him. I would act like security and he would ask for help in clearing his way so he could walk. Fame can be a real double edged sword, makes you think twice about privacy that everyone takes for granted.Please take a look at pictures above.
