These pictures are porcelain ovals on a blue velvet background. The frames are metal not sure what kind. The pictures show the blue velvet bright blue but the blue is more of a gray blue. Both pictures are of a man and woman from the victorian period. The colors are still very vibrant and look handpainted but feel smooth. E.A.RIBE produced this kind of pictures from 1930 thru 1950. These are a set, they both are #253.
They each measure: 4 1/2 ins. wide by 3 3/4 ins. top to bottom.
