This is the baddest, vintage puka shell necklace I've ever seen. The shells are dime size in diameter and strung on metal tiger tail for strength and durability, unlike those strung on fish line or other materials. It was purchased at a living estate sale from a gentleman who said he bought it years ago while vacationing in the islands . He mentioned both Hawaii & Caribbean through the course of our conversation so not sure which. Beads are sterling silver. This weighs a whopping 221 grams and that tops any I've come across.
