The album became Blige's first album to go to #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album charts. The release garnered Blige a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album in 1998 along with wins at the American Music Awards and the Soul Train Awards. By 1999 it had gone 3x Multi-Platinum.
