All stages of this 3,000 year old traditional craft are performed by women. All pieces are unique and the variations and fluctuations in color are a result of the firing process. These terracotta artefacts for the home are often decorated with two-toned geometrical patterns reminiscent of traditional tattoos and Berber weaving.
