On offer is this handsome studio pottery mug featuring a 3D sculpted face. Unlike many other face mugs that are goofy and silly, the face on this piece is that of a distinguished, serious man with full brows and a handlebar/walrus mustache. I'm seeing a bit of Mark Twain here, but that's up to interpretation. There are some engraved designs at the base and under the rim as well. Wide, low handle. 12oz capacity up to very top of rim. Great functional/decorative work of art. It is stamped with a maker's mark, but we're unable to make it out. In excellent preowned condition.
Approximate measurements: 4.37 tall x 5.5 wide from base edge to end of handle. Base diameter is 4.3 .
