A wonderful mid-century Hakata Urasaki Clay Doll - Man holding an ancient scroll painting. On the underside of the old man is the original stickers.
Size: Japanese man – almost 9 inches tall without tatami mat
Tatami mat – 9 ½ inches x 7 inches x ¾ inch
2.8 pounds total weight
On the corner of the mustard colored mat that the old man is sitting on, it appears it had cracked and was then repaired. The Tatami Mat stand black paint on the wood edging has come off in several places and could be repainted.
