This pretty pair of Victorian hand-carved cameos showcases beautifully detailed scenes of well-dressed ladies surrounded by trees and houses. The peach-colored cameo depicts the design Rebecca at the Well. Both cameos are made from carnelian shell and are set in gold-filled frames with a twisted ribbon border. When placed side by side, they appear as two friendly neighbors chatting. Faintly carved houses in the background of both pieces add to the landscape.
