This vintage brooch was created by Trifari’s designer Alfred Philippe who patented the pin in 1936. It says Trifari on each side back, one side had patent number 2050804, and other side says clip mates. The pin is intended to come apart and be 2 clips, I didn’t want to take it apart for fear of breaking it. It is rhodium plated and all rhinestones appear to be there. There is the usual uniform graying of stones due to age(1930’s). Very rare piece. Please read my profile.
