Circa 1979 framed Bird on a Lily Branch Lin-Art… pictures were created by the ancient art of Chokin which was used to decorate the armament of the Samurai Warriors during the Feudal Period of Japan (1192-1858). This technique is practiced on a limited scale today and has been handed down thru the generations of artists thru long periods of study under master artists. It is a delicate handcraft of gilding the copper with gold and silver and applying acids to create a colorful engraved surface. Each work of art is signed and a clear protective finish is applied. This piece is signed by the artist and numbered #216.
