This vintage Taxco hinged bangle features a simple, repeated scalloped band made from 24.5 grams of solid sterling.
Stamped Mexico / TS-22 / 925, it was made after 1980 and has been clearly been loved and worn.
Its hand-wrought hinge and pinged surface give it the dignified look of old age, circling your wrist with muted flashes of light and maybe even wisdom.
The bracelet is 6mm wide with a wearable length of about 6.5 . Fits my 6.25 wrist with wiggle room.
The interior is oval-shaped, measuring 2-5/16 x 1-7/8 .
It is in good functional condition for a vintage piece. The handmade hinge is not precision built--part of its charm--so there's a little play when opened. But it claps shut securely.
