It's October and the smell of baseball is in the air, so play ball! Or in this case not! Here we have a new old stock sealed Spalding baseball from the Continental League, which was a new Major league that was formed in 1959 and scheduled to start in 1961. Well, the decision was made to expand the American and National leagues instead, so the Continental League was disbanded in 1960 without playing a game. . This rare Spalding 166 baseball is sealed in the original box and has not been opened. Box has some light creases on the bottom and light wear but is overall in very good shape. Baseball would have been made in either 1959 or 1960. Box states made by the manufacturer of all Official Major League Baseballs. Free shipping in USA.
