Vintage clear label under glass (LUG) apothecary bottle from the early 1900's. The bottle originally contained Powdered Potassium Chloride which was used as a substitute for table salt in patients who needed to restrict dietary sodium (due to high blood pressure). This is a large salt-mouth style bottle with a flat-topped ground glass stopper (loose). The stopper has some damage to the bottom edge (see picture). This is an older mouth-blown molded bottle made by the Whitall Tatum Co. The mark indicates it was produced between 1901 and 1905. The bottle is about 3 3/4 inches in diameter and stands about 9 3/4 inches tall. The black and white label has gold trim. While the label is in good shape, the cover glass is cracked on the lefthand side. Overall, the bottle is in good used vintage condition.
