Rare 1970’s Cambridge U Lawn Tennis Club Ryder & Amies Wool Cable Knit Sweater
Singular & unique rarity ~ this Ryder & Amies Cambridge sweater is embroidered with a tennis racket and ‘C.U.L.T.C’ ~ Cambridge University Lawn Tennis Club. The sweater appears to be from the 1970’s based on the tag. The tag does not indicate material, but based on feel I would say this is a soft wool sweater, possibly a wool blend. The sweater itself weighs 1 lb 7.5oz so great weight and also lends itself to being an all wool sweater. Condition is lovely. There is some minor/faint yellowing on the sleeve cuffs, pictured. No attempts have been made to lighten as it’s not noticeable, but could likely be spot lifted with some whitening products. There is also an imperfection in the knit on the back right shoulder, as pictured. Otherwise the sweater is in lovely condition for its age. Ready to wear or add to your collection :)
