Ryukyuan Kasuri is a traditional craft representing Okinawa.
It is mainly made with silk thread and dyed with plant-based dyes. There are about 600 types of patterns, and the unique geometric patterns are based on the drawings from the Ryukyu Kingdom era. Craftsmen have incorporated the sense of the times into the traditional patterns and created original patterns.

It is now a rare item as there are few people who make it. A kimono purchased from a kimono shop would cost hundreds of thousands of yen.

Old fabrics and kimonos may have uneven dyeing, stains, and weaving defects. This is because they are dyed using traditional hand-crafted techniques, and it can be considered the individuality of each fabric or garment. Some may be from dead stock old fabrics, and others may be made from disassembled ones, so the disassembled parts may appear on the shirt.
