Measures 16” long. This rain stick has smooth sides with no obvious signs of external sticks poking out from a distance. The black end caps and string loops suggest it’s a commercially produced or souvenir-style version, probably using internal nails or pins in a spiral to create the rain sound. The internal pins or thorns are starting to break through the outer surface. You may seal with clear epoxy or wood glue if you find areas where the wood/bamboo is weakening. To Prevent Further Damage: Keep it stored upright in a dry place, away from humidity or direct sun. Avoid shaking it too aggressively — just tilting slowly gives the best sound and protects the internal structure.
