Although it has an indentation on each side indicating that it is an ashtray, it would be beautiful displayed as a decorative plate.It was created by artist Barbara Culp who is a painter, jewelry designer and enamelist. She is a gifted artist and her work is reminiscent of ancient cave paintings with both a southwestern and mid century modern feel. The enamel is in beautiful shades of rust, apricot, brown, and turquoise.
