For sale is a rare sterling silver Judith Ripka square link necklace. The front links are all encrusted with CZ, as is the drop pendant and the heart clasp.
It is signed Judith Ripka 925 CZ Thailand.
All czs are intact and it is in good shape.
Interesting side note: an interested party asked about the color.
This is plated in 14 kt gold (tests as such). The metals alloyed to the gold (anything other than 24k is an alloy, or recipe, of metals + a proportion of gold) end up as a brassy gold color.
My best guess is a high percentage of copper and 58% gold on the plating, which lends itself to some very interesting tarnish patterns on the surface of the plating. As an amateur metallagurist, I like this piece much more now :)
I've included a picture of the Ripka necklace between a solid traditional yellow 14k, and a 14k traditional yellow gold plated sterling piece to give a better idea of the color.
