Vintage Guatemalan Mayan sterling silver pendant / brooch. Large round openwork design depicting a tribal sacrifice scene in center with a rosy gold overlay. Cut-out design of the quetzal bird wraps around the perimeter. The piece is convertible to wear as a necklace pendant or brooch, as the bail can discreetly pivot to the back when worn as a brooch. Old “C” style clasp with reinforcement wire. Stamped 925 on back. Acquired from a private estate collection. 2.15” diameter. Excellent pre-owned condition.
