This is a beautiful tilt hat from the 1930s'. It consists of a round crown covered on the sides with striking gold colored feathers. At the back there is a flat covered "O" ring, plus felt "flowers" attached to the sides. This is a very unique and creative piece of millinery fashions.Tilt hats were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. They were worn at an angle and held to the back of the head by a strap, rigid ring, elastic band beneath the hair, or a combination of these. Label: Doeskin 100% wool, Size ADJ (adjustable)There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation.This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
