VTG Pot Belly Teddy Bear by Jean Burhans (Artist) Critters 1992 Plush 18 Chef
Collectible, vintage, handcrafted, and designed in Florida by Critters artist Jean Burhans. This custom-made bear is signed and dated 1992 (on his left foot). His head rotates 360°, and his handmade clothing is removable, as are his custom-made bunny slippers (they slip off of his toes but are glued on the heel) His graphic tee shirt reads Retired, and the button pin holding his sweater together is a souvenir pin from Puerto Rico that declares, I could really use a vacation .
Retired Chef Teddy is in excellent pre-owned condition, with no stains, marks,or tears. I hand washed his clothing, except the tee, I didn't want it to stretch it over his head). The frying pan he holds has some signs of age, not sure if that is original or if it did age over time.
