Vintage “Scout” by Michael Garman Retired Handmade Hand Painted Hand Sculpture Western and Early American Series Rifle Cowboy Made in USA Colorado 1969 Yellowstone Approximate height- 12”Weight- 2 lbsThis listing is for Scout (1 sculpture), the last photo is shown with his buddy the Cavalry Captain. They can’t be bundled due to fragile and weight but look very cool together.I don’t know much about them except they were purchased in the early 1970’s together in Colorado as a souvenir that started his collection of Western/ Early American art. (We’re on the East Coast) They were displayed in a home office for years but would make a great addition to built in bookshelves around a TV or boys bedroom. In my research, Michael Garman was an amazing sculptor who recently passed in 2021 in his 80’s. He wanted to honor everyday heros around us- early American, Military, Firefighters, Lineman,Law Enforcement. All of his sculptures are reproduced by hand. There is still a museum of his work in Colorado. Knowing this sculpture is marked 1969, the sticker is from Manitou Springs,Co not Colorado Springs, it must be a very early piece. It in good shape for being about 50 years old - I do show two paint chips circled in Green. * The last photo to for comparing size and this listing is only for Scout
