The piece was commissioned in 1995 exclusively for a company in New York City - most likely for a C.E.O. or the main offices of a high end law/investment/entertainment firm.The piece is made of hard stoneware and has a repeat pattern hand etched on its surface, which must have taken a long time to create.It measures 11" high by 6" wide and has a stamp on the underside that says it was exclusively created for this company at 11 Penn Plaza in New York City in 1995.
