This BURBERRY PRORSUM trench coat is from the Spring/Summer 2015 Runway. The show aimed to capture the quirk and charm of life in the English countryside, including vivid floral colors, poetic freedom, and vintage book covers. That romanticized summer begot a boldly expressive design that ran Burberry's iconic trench coat through a uniquely wild and wonderful meadow. The collection's free-flowing book cover pattern is hand-painted and screen-printed onto the coat, which typifies the exemplary craftsmanship of the brand's premier and most expensive label. This Bright Rose version features vibrant red, orange, fuchsia, and pink and it's finished with shiny PINK PATENT LEATHER TRIM and Horseferry-check lining. CONDITION: EUC Excellent Used Condition. This coat was made in Italy, not Britain, but I think it uses the same cotton gabardine as the Heritage coats---an innovative fabric invented by Thomas Burberry in 1879, woven from fine, compacted cotton in a structure that prevents water from permeating the fabric.
