This striking green ceramic powder box is from the Art Deco era in the 1930s, with its geometric painted design and elephant figure on top serving as a knob. Measures 4.5" square, with squared off corners, and 4.25" tall. Marked "Made in Japan" on the bottom.In very good vintage condition, with no chips or cracks. There is some crazing and slight discoloration on the inside, and an area on one corner of the bottom with worn or missing glaze. See photos for details.
