RARE! Lance Karesh: a designer known for his work with the Basco label , a spin-off of Barneys New York’s private label, popular in the 1980s and 1990s. After Basco closed, he launched his own women's line under his name. His designs often feature embellishments, such as embroidery and beading.
This gorgeous designer gown is made of pure shantung silk and elegant floral embroidery.
This vintage gown has been kept in beautiful condition for the last 30-40 years. 2 back seams have some stretching, but seams are intact. It appears that a few tiny spots in the embroidery have discolored the creamy silk on which it is stitched. These minor signs of wear: only visible under close scrutiny could likely be removed by dry cleaner or tailor. See pics for details.
