As you can see from the pics of this item this clock is in nice condition, the housing for the actual time piece is brass where as for the time piece it runs on battery power. The time piece is what is called a insert and I believe that anyone who purchases this item is mainly buying the clock housing and not the time piece itself. It's a nice conversational piece and will catch anyone's eye who walks into the same room as the clock. I don't know much about this item only it belonged to my late departed mother that had it for as long as I can remember. May it bring some kind of enjoyment and conversation to someone's life.
