Huge Vintage Ruby Red Rhinestone & Raspberry Cadmium Glass Gold Waterfall Brooch
Absolute stunner vintage mid century brooch pin in gold plated metal with cluster design top and waterfall dangles. This unsigned beauty estate piece measures approximately 4” (3 7/8”) in length and measures 2.5” across, with open back pear cut and navette marquise cut bright red rhinestones, with closed back round cut ruby glass, hot pink cadmium glass, and aurora borealis rhinestones. The pink cadmium glass, which reacts to ultraviolet light / blacklight in the same way as uranium glass, on cadmium glows a bright orange, as seen in photographs. All stones are prong set. This is definitely a unique and rare high end designer collector’s piece, although unsigned, I have not been able to find any others like it through my research. In excellent vintage condition.
