This is a beautiful example of work by the Chalet Artistic Glass Company. The bowl is made of cranberry crystal and has a swirl pattern on the outside and a clear crimped and ruffled edge. Chalet was founded in 1962 by the Tedesco family in Cornwall, Ontario and was in operation until 1974. These glass makers had trained with Murano masters in Venice, Italy before moving to Canada in the 1950s. This piece was part of their Canadian Cranberry collection and has a highly polished base.
Size: 3.5 inches (9 cm) tall and 8 inches (20.3 cm) across at its widest point.
