Vintage Marimekko Maija Isola Ananas fabric yardage floral brown black white

This listing is for a piece of super fun Marimekko produced 100% cotton fabric designed by Maija Isola. The pattern is called Ananas (pineapple) and it was made in Finland in 1962. The design are quite large in size; it fully repeats only about five times within the 3 yard and 12 length. It is a super bold and simply amazing example of mid century Scandinavian design.

The piece measures 54 (width, including selvedge) x 120 . Structurally, the fabric is in fine condition. Cosmetically, however, there are a number of issues. There are darker stripes within the print where silkscreening had overlapped due to the process. There also are slightly discolored areas. I believe, this material may have been used as tablecloth in the past. I have washed the material and these spots did improve considerably. Perhaps with professional cleaning they could be fully eliminated. Please look carefully at the images for some of these issues. I have undone the casually hand executed hemming.
