This vintage/antique, early 20th century Art Nouveau lithograph print is titled Romance by Vladimir Pavlosky. Vladimir Pavlosky (1884-1944) was born in the Ukraine of Russia and emigrated to the United States, settling in Massachusetts when he was 20 years old. He is known for figure, still life, and marine scenes.
Romance features A romantic colonial couple flirt on the banks of a calm, reflective pond as tall cypress trees provide shade and privacy to this tender moment. A classical Greek architecture inspired building sits just in front of the majestic purple mountains, the last rays of a setting sun cast an idyllic glow over the scene.
It is signed in the lower left-hand corner and was published by the E.J. Schwabe Mfg. Co. of New York. It measures approx 12.5 x 16.5 and the image size is approx 12 x 15.75 . It is printed on heavy, glazed paper stock and is in very good condition with minor handling wear on the edges. There is a mar above center trees. See 3rd picBack
