This teapot was purchased at a small NW Arkansas antique market in the early 1990's. In doing research, it has also been described as a refrigerator space saving water pitcher.

Made in the 1930s by GEM clay forming company of Sebring, Ohio, and issued by the refrigerator brand Kelvinator. Rectangular streamlined Art Deco design with black pinstriping and a shield shaped Kelvinator logo on both sides. Flush fitting lid. The body of the ironstone ceramic pot has discolored with time to a mottled tan color. Crazing in the shiny glaze. There is a chip on the bottom edge of the spout.

Measures 10 1/2 L x 5 1/2 H (including lid) x 4 1/2 W inches. It has only been displayed in a glass case since its purchase 25 years ago, never used.
