Churchilliana Spode WWII Commemorative 1941 Pitcher. This famous Spode pitcher was first produced in 1941 and reissued in its original and a new shape in 1965. Great piece of history, this pitcher is in good condition, considering its age. It is Pattern F448 designed for the USA market in 1941. This pitcher measures 6 1/2 height, and has a 4 opening. On the front side there is a picture of Churchill along with pictures of a battleship, aircraft and ship. On the back side this pattern is with a bulldog on a Union flag bestriding a globe with the British empire shown in a darker color.
This pitcher is in good condition, no chips, showing an age crack around the bottom of the handle. Black transfers are very clear and legible, and colorful.
